At 1221 hours, Station 2 was alerted to brush fire to the rear of 41900 Gibson Drive in Oakville.

Jeep 2 and Brush 2 made the response and arrived to find an active fire on the side of a cliff along the water front. Firefighters were able to knock down and stop the fire from spreading but had trouble mopping up due to limited access.

Fire Chief 2 (Raley) requested a fireboat to the scene to assist with extinguishment. Fire Boat 5 made the response and once on scene, used the deluge gun to wet the entire area down and extinguish part of the pier that was still burning.

Units operated on the scene for approximately two hours.

Units: Jeep 2, Brush 2
