Rescue and Chief on Charles Entrapment

At 1620 hours, Rescue Squad 2 was alerted mutual aid to Charles County for the motor vehicle accident with entrapment on Budds Creek Road in the area of Stines Store Road.

Units from Charles arrived with one off the road into a tree and confirmed one trapped. Charles Chief 10 arrived and established command.

Fire Chief 2 (Raley) was assigned the extrication group and the squad arrived and was given two tasks, assist with extricating the driver and stabilizing the utility pole that was cut off by the vehicle.

The patient was extricated by removing the passenger side doors, folding the roof, removing the passenger seat and center console.

Once extricated, the patient was turned over to awaiting EMS personnel and transported to Charles Regional Medical Center.

Units operated for forty-five minutes.
