042414 Committee members completed the final inspection of the new Car 2 on Monday April 21st. A couple items were written up and need to be addressed but the unit looks great. Some pictures of the final are attached.

032814 Additional photos were received on the new unit. It is currently awaiting the rear command cabinet to be installed which should be completed this week.

030614 We received some in process pictures of the new Tahoe today. Some of the emergency lights have been installed. The lightbars should be installed next week and the outfitter is awaiting the rear command cabinet to be delivered.

The Department recently purchased a 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe from Criswell Chevrolet. The vehicle was procured off the Maryland State contract.

The apparatus committee spent the last two months deriving the specifications for outfitting and bids were sent to prospective vendors. After going thru the bids, Priority Installations in Gaithersburg was awarded the contract.

The vehicle will be equipped with Whelen LED emergency and scene lighting, two SCBA, turnout gear storage, hand tools and fire extinguishers. A custom command cabinet will be mounted in the rear with radios, ICS boards, laptop and storage for various other equipment.

We will update this story as the vehicle progresses thru it's transformation. A mid February delivery is scheduled.
