| On Monday evening, members trained on our new Res-Q-Jacks. In preparation for the arrival of the new Squad 2, the department has purchased new equipment to be carried on the unit and the last several weeks have been dedicated to training on this equipment. This training was conducted by Res-Q-Jack and included several scenarios. They included, lifting a vehicle with the jacks and the stabilization of a vehicle on it's side and one on it's roof, which was on a slight incline. Once the stabilization training was completed, firefighters became acquainted with the new Hurst equipment purchased and practiced extrication skills on the vehicles. A special thanks is extended to Res-Q-Jack for coming down and conducting training and to Specialty Rescue for delivering the Hurst equipment. |
