At 1108 hours, Rescue Engine 22 was alerted with EMS Stations 29 and Charles 2 to the area of Three Notch Road and Commerce Park for the motor vehicle accident.

Rescue Engine 22 (FF/EMT Colomo) and Chief 2B (Woodill) made the response. Charles Chief 2A and Ambulance 297 were on the scene advising one patient was trapped and requested a medevac for a priority two, category "Bravo" patient. Chief 2B advised to add the next due for the landing site, which would be at the ADF bingo parking lot in New Market. This alerted Charles Station 2 to the call.

After assessing the vehicle, the crew on Resuce Engine 22 decided the doors and roof needed to be removed to free the patient. Further assessment of the second patient warranted a medevac as well. The driver of the second vehicle signed a refusal of care.
