Baptist Church Road Entrapment

At 0050 hours, Rescue Engine 22, Charles Engine 2, Rescue Squad 7, Ambulance 296, Charles EMS 2 and SMALS were alerted to 26900 block of Baptist Church Road for the motor vehicle accident with reported entrapment. Initial reports advised a pick up truck into a utility pole with entrapment.

Maryland State Police arrived and confirmed entrapment with the operator unconscious. Rescue Engine 22 arrived on the scene and the crew went to work setting up for the extrication. The engine crew stablized the vehicle and removed the entire drivers side of the vehicle and had the patient extricated within fifteen minutes.

EMS personnel inquired on a medevac but they were down due to the weather. Ambulance 296 transported the patient priority one to Prince George's General.

Units operated on the scene for approximately two hours.
