| In the last few weeks, members have continued training and practicing various skills. On April 26th, members proceeded to Indian Creek Pier in Golden Beach to review surface water rescue operations. Members reviewed water rescue procedures, use of throw bags, and entered the water in the dry suits utilizing recently purchased PFD's and helmets.
On Monday night, members drilled on the new forcible entry door trainer. This prop allows the members to learn and practice proper forcible entry techniques using the "irons". It also allows members to practice cutting with the rescue saw. This is a great addition to the deparment for training, and it was put to work on Monday night. |
