Double Flyout After Vehicle Strikes Pole

At 2034 hours, Rescue Squad 2 was alerted with Ambulance 298 and Ambulance 797 to the area of 27073 Laurel Grove Road for the motor vehicle accident reported one in to a utility pole.

Chief 2A, Rescue Squad 2 and Engine 23 responded with units arriving on the scene confirming the same. Chief 2A established command and requested ALS for one unconscious, bringing Medic 1 to the incident. A medevac was requested initially for one patient and after further assessment, the decision to fly the second patient was requested and Trooper 2 was alerted.

Engine 23 established the landing site at the Laurel Grove Park.

Once Trooper 7 arrived, the flight medic assessed both patients and cancelled Trooper 2. Both patients were flown to Prince George's General.

Units operated on the incident for just over an hour.
