At 1603 hours, Station 2 was alerted with EMS Stations 29 and 79 to Queentree Road in the area of Jessie Drive for the motor vehicle accident. Initial reports advised a single vehicle off the roadway.

Engine 23, Ambulance 798 and Fire Chief 2 arrived simultaneously with Chief 2 confirming a single vehicle off the road and establishing the "Queentree Road Command". After scene size up, firefighters found the single occupant trapped and set up for extrication. Rescue Squad 7 was then added to the call but cancelled shortly afterwards.

Firefighters removed both drivers side doors and "B" post in order to free the driver. Extrication was complete in ten minutes.

EMS personnel requested a medevac once they consulted the trauma center.

Engine 24 established the landing site at Laurel Grove Park for Trooper 7. The patient was flown to Prince Georges General and units cleared shortly afterwards.
