| At 1119 hours, the Rescue Assignment was alerted to the intersection of Three Notch Road and Golden Beach Road bringing Rescue Squad 2, EMS Station 29, and Charles EMS 2. Initial reports advised of two vehicles with injuries.
As Rescue Squad 2 (Lt. Cox) responded, the assignment was upgraded with reports of one trapped bringing Charles Squad 2 and the Medic on the incident.
Rescue Squad 2, Charles Squad 2, and Engine 23 all arrived simultaneously and stabilized the vehicle and sized up the extrication process. It was determined that the drivers side door needed to be removed to free the patient.
All crews worked together to free the patient within about 5 minutes.
All units were cleared the scene within 20 minutes. |
