Im from Cobb Island Company 6. I did write an email to an address my Chief gave me (MVFD@aol.com) but I dont think it's correct. I jsut wanted to say that i greatly appreciate you coming down to Cobb Island in the rain to help support us. I hope you had a lot of fun even though the rain didnt seem to let up. I also wanted to congratulate Brooke. Shes adorable and I really hope she continues with fire prevention. She'll do great as a Junior Miss and even as a Miss. "KEEP IT UP GIRL!."

One other thing, I attended the memorial service in Ocean City and I wanted to say, I may have never known Justin but after hearing of his passion for the Department, he touched my life. I know members of my dept. did know him and have said the same. He was a great guy and is missed.

Well thats just a few things I thought you should know. Thanks again for coming. I hope to see you next year and maybe even at our block party July 5th.

My name is Laura and I met Justin Mangum about 10 years ago. Justin's aunt Betty Melton was my babysitter for 13 years.I found out about Justin yesterday when I was driving up on Lindsey Way with my friend Robbie when i realized where i was at. It had been a long time since i traveled down this road.Tears came so fast and my hands started to shake.I just wish I had a chance to tell him as well as his family how BEAUTIFUL Justin was to me. Talk about a eyecandy. I used to beg Betty to take me to his parents house so we could play and go 4 wheeling. Going to their family events was a big thing because I knew I would see Justin and maybe even see him dance. This is hard for me because I just found out almost 7 months after the passing. Justin is one country boy i will never forget! I hold Justins picture that his brother gave me of him in uniform close to my heart and my memories even closer. I read everything on this whole site,I know Justin Mangum was loved! To the family I hope to see you all soon. When Seconds Do Count

Of all the stories I read of Justin, it sounds like he is a really great person. I am sorry for your lost of a very, very special person. The new truck looks great, wish we were as lucky. Excellent idea with the front bumper and foam modification while on site. The only modification I would have done is paint the truck chrome yellow, some would say like a "real" fire truck.

Good Luck with it and hope to see it on the road, hopefully "working together" in the near future.
