Squad and Tanker on Charles County Chimney Fire

At 1816 hours, Squad 2 and Tanker 2 were alerted mutual aid to Charles County for the chimney fire at 10975 Marsh Court off of Budds Creek Road.
Squad 2 and Tanker 2 responded at dispatch with eight personnel. Charles Engine 143 arrived on scene with a two story single family dwelling with smoke in the residence. Charles Engine 102 and Tanker 10 arrived next with Engine 102 picking up Engine 143's line. Chief 14B established the "Marsh Court Command" and advised with the exception of units on the scene and Truck-1 to have the balance of the assigment stage out on Budds Creek Road. Squad 2 was approaching the scene as Charles County was advising all units and called command and asked if they wanted our services at the residence. Command advised for Squad 2 to report to the scene.
Squad 2 arrived on scene and set up positive pressure ventilation and checked the attic. Crews advanced a line to the front door, however it was not utilized as no fire was found. The roof was laddered, the chimney checked and was found to be clear.
Units opreated on the scene for approximately thirty minutes before being released by command.
