Volunteers on Hillville House Fire

At 2153 hours, Stations 7, 2, 1, Truck 7, Water Supply 5 and EMS Stations 79 and 29 were alerted to Area Box 7-03 for the working house fire on South Sandgates Road.
First arriving units arrived to find a working fire in a one story, single family residence. Crews advanced a crosslay into the structure and made quick work of the fire that had consumed the living room area of the residence. The entire structure sustained heat and smoke damage.
Engine 24 (Chief 2A) arrived and the crew was assigned to RIT while Rescue Engine 222 (Chief 2) was advised to stage and the crew report to side "alpha" and stage.
After crews checked for extension and mopped up hot spots, units were released.
Units operated on the scene for an hour and Chief 7 (Brady) held the command.
