| On Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 19:43 hours, units were dispatched to the 30000 block of Summitt Court in Mechanicsville following reports of a structure collapse. Initial 911 calls indicated that a large tree had fallen onto a two-story residence, trapping two occupants and several pets on the second floor, though no injuries were initially reported.
Chief 2, Rescue Squad 2, Engine 23, and Engine Tanker 24 responded. Upon arrival, crews confirmed that the tree had struck the home, but fortunately, all occupants and pets had already safely evacuated. After evaluating everyone at the scene and confirming there were no injuries, the incident was scaled down to Mechanicsville units only. |
