On Saturday September 9th, the Volunteers at Mechanicsville VFD hosted our first annual 5K run/walk in the Village of Mechanicsville. The event began at 9 am and featured a route that took participants north on Old Village Road through the Village of Mechanicsville and merged on the the Three Notch trail to make the turn around back to the firehouse.

The event featured 62 participants ranging in age from a few months to senior retirees! We cannot thank everyone enough for the participation and support of this event for the Mechanicsville VFD. You helped make the very first year a great success. We look forward to hosting the event again next year and will keep you informed of improvements for it. A special thank you to all of the event sponsors for their continued support of the Department.
