Stucture Fire Assignment Results in Medical Local

At 1213 hours, Company 2 and surrounding stations were dispatched for a structure fire in the area of 27215 Three Notch Road, report of a hot water heater on fire.

While units were enroute Fireboard advised they had report of one person not breathing at the same location. Chief 2 arrived on the scene with a two story, single family structure with nothing evident and confirmed CPR in progress. Engine 23 laid a supply line and investigated a faulty hot water heater in the basement. The assignment was quickly scaled back to Engine 23, Truck 7, and the EMS units performing patient care.

The patient was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Power to the structure was controlled and all units picked up and returned to service.
Units operated for approximately 45 minutes.
