At 1516 hours Mechanicsville, Hughesville, and Waldorf were alerted to 29843 Charlotte Hall Road for a reported shed fire. While units were enroute, a large header was seen in the sky. Engine 23 and Tanker 1002 arrived first finding a garage well off, with extension to a house, numerous cars, an RV, and the woods. With that, the assignment was filled out bringing 2 additional engine companies, a tanker, an additional ladder company, a rescue squad, and ems units.

Units led off with a 2.5" hand line to knock down the bulk of the fire. As more units begin to arrive, multiple hand lines were deployed to assist in fire attack. Truck 1003 arrived, and set up in the driveway for ladder pipe operations. Command was established by Chief 2A, who requested a second alarm shortly into the incident due to the humidity and shortage of personnel on the scene.

Units operated for approximately 3 hours before returning to service.
