At 1902 hours, Rescue Company 2 was alerted to Thompson Corner Road in the area of Ryceville Road for the motor vehicle accident, reported one into a utility pole with entrapment.
Chief 2A arrived on the scene confirming one on it's side with one trapped. RES2CUE and Chief 2 arrived, with the Chief assuming "Thompson Corner Road Command". The rescue split crews, one stabilized the vehicle utilizing the Res-Q-Jacks, while the other deployed the Hurst equipment for extrication.
Engine 23 arrived and advanced a protection line to the scene.
The crews worked simultaneously to free the occupant who was turned over to awaiting EMS personnel.
Ambulance 296 transported to Prince George's Trauma by ground as all medevacs were down due to weather.
Units operated on the scene for approximately forty-five minutes. |
