At 0840 hours, Engine and Tanker 2 were alerted to Cat Creek Road in Sandgates for the house fire. As units went responding, Fireboard Communications advised the original call was for a kitchen fire and they were receiving additional calls stating there was fire throughout.
Engine 72 arrived on the scene reporting a one story, single family dwelling with fire showing from the Alpha Side. Engine 72 established the Cat Creek Road Command until the arrival of Chief 2A.
Engine 24 arrived and its' crew advanced an additional line into the structure. Chief 2A assumed the command and Engine 72's OIC was reassigned as the attack group supervisor. Engine 72, Truck 7 and Engine 24's crew operated inside and extinguished the fire within fifteen minutes of arrival.
Units operated on the scene for two and a half hours.
