At 2117 hours, Stations 2, Charles 2. Charles Truck 3 and Ambulance 296 were alerted to 38215 William Court in Charlotte Hall for the chimney fire.

Units arrived on scene, side "alpha" with a split level, single family with an active fire in the chimney. Firefighters removed the fire wood burning in the firebox and took the chimney kit to the roof to extinguish the fire in the chimney. A ventilation fan was set up at the front door as crews used several extinguishers to knock the fire down in the chimney.

Crews worked for approximately forty-five minutes on the incident.
