At 1243 hours, Rescue Squad 2 was alerted with surrounding EMS units to the Maryland International Raceway in Budds Creek for the motorcycle accident on the track. Initial information given advised of a motorcycle down on the track with one reported not breathing.
A St. Mary's Sheriffs unit arrived and confirmed CPR was being performed. Rescue Squad 2's crew assisted with life saving efforts when they arrived. With only one patient, command (Fire Chief 2) placed Charles Ambulance 158 in service. Despite the valiant efforts of those on the scene, the operator succumbed to the injuries sustained.
Crews picked up and returned to service turning the scene over to law enforcement for reconstruction.
