| At 0855 hours, Engine Companies 7, 1, 9, 2, Truck 7, Water Supply 5, and EMS Stations 79 and 29 were alerted to 43190 Coles Drive in Hollywood Shores for the reported house on Fire.
Captain 7(Brady) and Chief 7B (Riley)were first to arrive to find a one story modular home with fire showing from sides "Alpha" and "Delta". Engine 72 arrived as the first due, and took an attack line to "Division 1" to begin fire suppression.
Engine 14, 24, and Truck 7 all arrived next, with Engine 14 picking up Engine 72's supply line. We were advised to advance a line off of Engine 24 into the crawl space and the lineman deployed the 1.75" crosslay.
Once Engine 24's crew made their way into the crawl space, they found heavy fire conditions with fire engulfing the floor joists thus weakening the floor above. Truck 1 opened up the crawl space from the outside.
Crews operated for approximately ninety minutes before clearing the fire ground. |
