Firefighters work on the scene of a field fire started by a piece of farm machinery that caught fire and also burned off of Thompson Corner Road in Budds Creek

At 1131 hours, Station 2 was alerted to the 26000 block of Thompson's Corner Road for the reported vehicle fire.
As units were responding, police informed dispatch that it was a tractor on fire that had extended to the field and had consumed approximately three acres of the field.
Brush 2 arrived on scene and established the "Thompson's Corner Road Command" and started working to contain the fire. Commad requested additional brush units and a tanker for water supply.
Crews worked on scene for just over and hour to control the fire and mop up hot spots.
