Department Brings Home Awards at the Potomac River Festival Parade
At 1400 hours, members loaded up aboard Utility 2 with UTV 2, Retired Engine 1, Engine 21, and Engine 24 and departed for Colonial Beach, Virginia for the annual Potomac River Festival. Crews worked throughout the week cleaning on the apparatus.
Crews were awarded two awards after the parade:
2nd Best Appearing Antique (Old E-21) Best Appearing Special Unit (UTV-2)
Crews had a good time and look forward to taking the new Squad 2 to the event next year.
