At 0359 hours, Rescue Squad 2 was alerted with EMS Stations 29 and Charles 2 for the motor vehicle accident with personal injury. As additional calls were received, Fireboard Communications advised they had reports of one trapped and upgraded the assignment, alerting Charles Squad 2 and SMALS. A medevac was also started with information received.
Rescue Squad 2 (Lt Cox) arrived advising of a pick-up truck in to the rear of a dump truck and investigating. After scene size up, the patient was not trapped and the scecond rescue was placed in service.
Engine 24 (FF/EMT Bruner) established the landing site adjacent to the scene for Trooper 7.
One patinet was flown to Prince George's Trauma by Trooper 7 and one signed refusal.
Chief 2A held the "Three Notch Road Command" and units operated for an hour and half on the incident.
