Fatal Motorcycle Accident

At 0051 hours, Rescue Engine 222 and Rescue Squad 2 were alerted with Ambulance 299, Charles Paramedic Ambulance 27 and SMALS for the motorcycle accident on Golden Beach Road in the area of Cheryl Court.

Initial reports advised of a single motorcycle involved and the operator laying in the ditch. Law enforcement arrived, confirming a single patient.

Rescue Engine 222 (Sgt. Blizek) arrived and advised the subject was priority four and placed the assignment in service, holding the fire units only for scene lighting.

Rescue Squad 2 (Capt. Cox) staged on the scene for a short time and went in service.

Rescue Engine 222 remained on the scene to assist the Sheriffs Department reconstruction team and operated on the incident for approximately three hours.

The Department extends its condolensces to the family and friends affected by this tragedy.
