| The Annual Southern Maryland Volunteer Fireman's Association Convention was held on April 30th and May 1st. Solomons Volunteer Rescue Squad and Fire was the host company this year in honor of incoming President Jones.
After working most of the week cleaning and detailing the apparatus, members loaded up and headed to Calvert County, where the parade line up was staged on beautiful Solomons Island.
Members proudly displayed the apparatus with pride.
For our efforts, we were awarded the following trophies:
Best Appearing Ladies Auxiliary
Third Best Appearing Brush Truck - Brush 2
Best Appearing Rescue Pumper- Rescue Engine 222
A special thanks is extended to those members who put the effort in making our apparatus shine and displaying our company pride.
Additionally, the department extends a congatulations to Billy Jones and the newly elected officers and to those who won awards at Sunday's parade and competitions.
